Public’s opinion on Digitisation and Access to the Research on Documents within the National Archives of Romania

Summary/Abstract: The present article, part of the author’s dissertation paper in Archivistics, isbased on the data gathered through a questionnaire at which 74 users responded. It isabout users that attend the National Archives of Romania’s reading rooms (historians,researchers, universitar-graduated specialists from the Faculty of History and theundergraduate education system, curators, philologists, Phd students in History, MAstudents in History, journalists, inginiers, economists, retired persons, etc).The research was made by distributing a questionnaire via e-mail and Facebook.The results prove the typologies of the public from the reading rooms of the NationalArchives of Romania, their perception on the accessability to the documents and theexpectations they have regarding the digitisation process of the institution.
