Summary/Abstract: The City-Museum is representing a concept, possible project, with the goal of preserving, presenting and promoting immovable cultural heritage and would participate in modern society problems. An example of that is Karadjordjeva Street in Belgrade, a place with a large number of heritage monuments which create various “systems of documents”, collectons of objects with document intention, as they were named by Zbyněk Z. Stránský. From many valuable objects, the building of Beogradska zadruga was chosen as an artefact of the City-Museum and as an excellent document of modernisation of the city from beginning of the 20th century. Throughout answering the questions about the nature of art and museology and heritology theories, it comes to the conclussion that presenting in a certain context is necessaery so that object could have the function of an art piece. Here, the solution is offered for architectural objects which are immposible to place in a museum, but possess the same value and power as other artefacts.
