Summary/Abstract: In the post-socialist period, the State University become an important player on educational market area of North West of Romania (University of Oradea) and private or private-confessional universities have been founded in Oradea: Christian Partium University (with Hungarian as teaching language, set up upon the initiative of the Reformed and RomanCatholic Churches in order to cater for the higher education needs of the Hungarian minority), Emanuel University founded by Baptist community) and Agora University ( founded by a former vice-rector of University of Oradea). The article investigates the transition from university to work as a concern regarding of concentration of a relative high number of university graduates. The main conclusions will support to elaborate the future and adequate measures in order to correlate the educational market with labour market on Oradea area.
