Summary/Abstract: Bosnian cultural goods are of great importance not only for the nation, but also a world heritage site and is part of the cultural heritage of all humanity. Protection of Cultural Property was established international and national legal system. The main international legal instrument for the protection of cultural property, the Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict, adopted in The Hague in 1954. The objectives of the Hague Convention are taking all possible measures for the protection of cultural property, regardless of the type, the ownership of the origins of the war circumstances. The paper gives an overview of the importance and function of the Hague Convention and other legal and social acts and their application in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
