NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL BASIS FOR PROTECTION ARCHIVAL HERITAGE CHURCHES AND RELIGIOUS COMMUNITIES

Summary/Abstract: The archival heritage of churches and religious communities is a written record of their existence and action in a social context. This mark, however, has twice the value. On the one hand reflects their own context, and on the other hand is an indispensable part of the mosaic of the total memory of the wider context of his being and acting. Therefore, this paper highlights the parallel evaluation and meaning of those records in different provenance context. National and international aspects of protection of archival material religious provenance apply to multireligious and multiethnic context of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The paper separately discuss vertical evaluation and meaning and appropriate protection imperatives. It climbs in parallel to different provenance context of local and regional, through national (state) to transnational (international) level, and the ultimate principle of unity of protection culminates in the concept of a World Heritage Site.
