Summary/Abstract: IT organizations, choosing software development methodology, want to know, what maturity level/capability profile chosen methodology can ensure. Usually IT organizations apply more than one specific methodology. Nevertheless, assessment of maturity/capability ensured by separate methodologies is relevant, because successful combination of several methodologies needs awareness about strengths and weaknesses of each methodology. Today Scrum is one of the most popular agile methodologies in Lithuania. This article presents detailed assessment of the capability ensured by Scrum methodology in terms of CMMI-DEV version 1.3. The resulting capability profile as well as the contexts of Scrum application and important its properties are discussed.
