Summary/Abstract: Extradition, the most important form of international judicial cooperation in criminal matters, could be defined as the procedure through which a sovereign State (requested State) agrees to surrender to another State (the requesting State) a person who is on its territory and who is being prosecuted or summoned for a crime or is wanted for the execution of a sentence in the requesting State.
