Summary/Abstract: Law no. 544/2001 is a law of paramount importance in achieving the fundamental right of persons to public information, provided by art. 31 of the Constitution and art. 10 of the European Convention on Human Rights. Thus, according to art. 31 of the Constitution: "A person's right to have access to any information of public interest should not be restricted. Public authorities, according to their competence, are obliged to provide correct information to citizens in public affairs and matters of personal interest. ”The application of these provisions raises, both in theory and in practice, a few problems.
