Summary/Abstract: The article studies the formation and development of ideological values in Russia in the post-Soviet period and at the present time. The characteristic features of the existing ideological situation and the main reasons for its occurrence are specified and analyzed. An assumption is put forward that conservatism claims to be the dominating ideology in modern Russia. It is supported both by the majority of the population (according to surveys) and the authorities.
