Summary/Abstract: Everyone knows what Bytom is today, but the stereotype image, which has been preserved over the past 25 years, rarely brings out the nearly 800-year history, monuments and old industrial power. That is why it is so important today to answer the question of what this city will be like. It depends on the success of the revitalization program which will absorb about 1.5 billion zlotys and can set the direction of transformations for the whole post-industrial Silesia.
