IMPACT OF THE SECURITIZATION ON THE MILITARY FIELD

Summary/Abstract: The military field is the one in which the process of securitization is most likely to be strongly institutionalized. In the military sector, the state remains the most important reference point and the state leaders are the most important actors of securitization. This situation exists not only because states manage military resources much larger than of other actors, but also because the elites in power have evolved from the legal and political point of view, being the first pretenders for the legitimate right to use force, both within and outside their domain.
