Summary/Abstract: The first journey of the young Mircea Eliade in Italy takes place in the year 1927, in the period March – A pril. Since then there are the first works of art – journey notes and impressions – published in their great majority in the quotidian „Cuvântul” of Nae Ionescu. In total there are eleven articles published here, a 12th appearing in the „Universul literar”.These articles emphasize portraits of some Italian writers, such as: Giovanni Papini, Ernesto Buonaiuti, Rafaelle Petazzoni, Vittorio Macchioro, Alfredo Panzini, Giovanni Gentile, Giovanni Vailati, but also evocations of some picturesque spaces virtuously astounded in journey notes and impressions.
