Summary/Abstract: The paper analyses the way avant-garde, decadence and postmodernism have infuenced the new poetic paradigm in the early 2000’s (on the surface or in the dephts of the literary discourse). Is there a perfect authenticity expressed by the poem or does the discourse accept a certain amount of flashiness ? The answer strictly depends on the specific features of each case. For instance, the rebellious spirit that defined the avant-garde may sometimes interfere with the artificial attitude that intensely set bounds to decadence – but the artificial attitude implies a revolutionary stimulus (an avant-garde attribute), not an aristocratic requirement (as the decadence preferred). On the other hand, the young poets’ interest in post-postmodern directions does not mean that they assume epistemology and aesthetics as essential landmarks in their discourse. On the contrary, a strong ontology is the one that basically guides the poem.
