Summary/Abstract: Theconservation of the natural habitats is a real challenge of the contemporary world, in thecontext of anthropogenic spatial expansion unprecedented in history. The preservation of thelast remains of wildlife in Europe was the reason which lay at the basis of a new concept, materialized through a network of protected natural areas, generically called Natura 2000.A first step in a sustainable management of the sometimes wide territories gathered underthe title of sites Natura 2000, is the finding of the species effectives or the identification ofthe distribution of habitats with a conservative value recorded in the standard printed forms. In the case of ROSCI0253 Trascău, the identification of habitats wasnt an easy task at all,due to the vast and varied ground. In this paper, we will carry out a survey of this step, which consisted in the acquisition of a multispectral band imaging WorldView2 to cover thewhole site, in its interpretation with the help of remote sensing software in refining theinterpretation result in the light of stational conditions specific to each of the analzsedhabitats. It resulted a succession of maps of the distributions of conservative value, mapswhich will underlie the sustainable management of habitats
