Study on the use of biological filters for wastewater mine in the Apuseni Mountains.

Summary/Abstract: This study examines how mine water treatment using biofiltres. The chemicalcomposition of mine water is largeli determined by the mineralogical composition of therocks travesrsed. Biological treatment is based on the transfer of materials from water isliving cells and from these back to water. Ability of a biological treatment depends on themass of suchs plants to reduce levels of certain metals that exceed the permissible norm inforce.
