Summary/Abstract: This paperwas written during the retiremen retirement of teachers and researchers, PhD in geography,Mircea Buza. With origins in Alba, professor Buza was educated at the University of Cluj,followed by a series of specializations abroad. He worked as a researcher at the Institute ofGeography of the Romanian Academy, with concerns, especially in the fields ofgeomorphology and toponymy. He wrote a number of books and hundreds of articlespublished in various magazines in the country and abroad.
