Multimodal Sentiments Analyses of Financial News – a Project Outline

Summary/Abstract: We report the first steps of a Project aiming to develop a methodology and a system based on this methodology, to automatically recognize sentiments expressed in the financial news in the global net. This article concerns the conceptual level and the attempt to reasonably use of knowledge from several domains. The goal of the project is in an area dealing with the approximately recent fields of sentiment analysis and emotion recognition. That is the reason why the conception, congregation and tuning of the system require involving knowledge, approaches and techniques used in cognitive science. We detect some essential problems to be solved, followed by a proposal for a general methodology and underling architecture. We propose a methodology which follows the general approaches used in engineering and informatics and in cognitive science and linguistics.
