Summary/Abstract: Mass digitisation of the collections held by GLAMs (Galleries, Libraries, Archives and Museums ) provide the users with huge historical, cultural, linguistical informational resources in digital format, which are more and more used in educational activities all over the world. The paper describes the experience and the outcomes of some non formal educational projects and activities associated with the creation and re-use of the digital archives Europeana 1914-1918 and Europeana 1989.
