Summary/Abstract: The article considers the ways of Moscow International Film Festival representation rules change in 1960s in «The Soviet Screen» («Sovietski Ekran») magazine pages. The author analyzes the interconnection between the official authorities’ attitude towards the event, and visual and verbal canons of masculinity and femininity in the pages of one of the most popular magazines devoted to the cinema in the Soviet space.
