Summary/Abstract: The article is dedicated to the influence of the economic processes of 2010–2011 on the typological structure and the audience-and-thematic transformation of the magazine periodicals system. The analysis of the formal and typological characteristics of magazine publications makes it possible to ascertain the minimum loss in the post-crisis situations for mid-price applied and entertainment magazines, either monthly or weekly. The paper shows the decline of interest in expensive glossy magazines, the stable dynamics of inexpensive periodicals about beauty and health, the orientation of educational editions on travelling and history, and the demand for specialized and professional publications. In conclusion, the idea about the typological segmentation of magazine market according to the impact of crisis phenomena is suggested.
