Summary/Abstract: Haematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) denotes any procedure where haematopoieticstem cells, irrespective of the donor’s type and their source, are intravenously transfused to anappropriately prepared recipient, with a view to a complete or partial replacement or restoration of his/her haematopoietic system. The article discusses medical and legal determinants of thisissue.
