Summary/Abstract: Barnett Newman was born in 1905 in New York. He was not only interested in art, but, also, in botanics, geology and ornithology. When he was 30, he turned to politics. Art critics considered his work as a form of “Romantic anarchism”. He was influenced by Native Indians’s art. He concentrated on the motifs from Talmud. He was connected with artistic circles of Pollock, Rothko, Gottlieb, and Still, who were abstract expressionists.
