Summary/Abstract: The article deals with some theoretical and methodological aspects concerning modeling of social stratification. The problem of creating models of objects in sociology is considered. The methodology used to model hierarchy theory is suggested as the basis for building models of social stratification. Transformation of the spatial structure of hierarchy into the structural organization of the model of social stratification is analyzed. Formal (mathematical) description of the latter is discussed.
