Modernity (On Modern Photographs at Art. Academy in Poznan)

Summary/Abstract: The students of the Art Academy in Poznan showed their work in Bratislava. The show was entitled “Modernity” Katarzyna Skalska photographed several women with identical names. She showed a series of Katarzyna Skalskas. Jaroslaw Kupioe photographed himself with a pin-hole camera. Marcin Nowicki showed a series of photographs entitled “Quasimodo”. Anita Lipiec showed a series of photographes entitled “Eleousa”. Jacek Kolodzinski documented the process of “enslaving” things by their owners. Alicja Szwinta referred to the relationship between people. Anna Schmidt showed a series of slides with images of women. Piotr Kozielczyk and Joanna Pawlowska referred to advertisement art of the 1960’s. Kamilia Siwinska was interested in fashion design by Magdalena Brzozek. Many students used the black-and-white medium, others preferred intermedial approach.
