Summary/Abstract: Only a few months ago, on the 17th of February 2016 in Cracow, we had to bid our final farewells toProfessor Krystyna Rajzer – a renowned scientist in the field of accounting and a long-time academicteacher and educator for many generations of students of the University of Economics (and its predeces-sors, i.e. first the Academy of Commerce, then the Higher School of Economics and the Academy ofEconomics in Cracow) and in three other higher economic schools in Cracow and Kielce. In her long andhardworking life she had numerous achievements in various areas of academic, economic and social life,being active until 90 years of age. Professor Krystyna Rajzer passed away on the 12th of February 2016in Cracow. The accounting community has lost a dedicated scientist, practitioner and, first and foremost,a great teacher and educator of students. The Church has lost a sister in faith and a spiritual guide. Profes-sor Rajzer was an unquestioned moral authority for her co-workers, students and friends
