Summary/Abstract: Silence. On Eleonora Jedlinska’s new bokk entitled „Art. After the Holocaust” Nelly Sachs wrote that “victims live in silence”. There were other authors who wrote about silence and the art of silence. Adorno asked if, after the Holocaust, poetry was still possible. Anna Kral briefly answered: “yes, it is possible”. Jedlinsksa agreed with him, but she added explained that contemporary poetry was the post-Holocaust poetry. Artists must be conscious of important historic facts, they cannot be ignorant. And, there are many artists who refer to the Holocaust, although they are too young to be the witnesses. Jedlinska wrote both on the Holocaust, and the art which referred to the Holocaust. She believes that art makes it easier to understand history.
