Spatio - temporal analysis of crime rate in the Upper Silesia

Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article was spatio – temporal analysis of crime rate in the Silesia voivodship. There was presented spatial variation of crime rate in the poviats of the Silesia voivodship. There were identified some relationships between crime rates and socio – economic characteristics of poviats using regression tree. There was analysed structure of crime in the Silesia voivodship. Attention was also paid to seasonality of some types of crimes and problems with crime rate prediction.
