Summary/Abstract: This article is dedicated to the analysis of the subsubdialect of Kamojys (Republic of Belarus, district of Pastovys), attributed to the Eastern Lithuanian subdialect of Vilnius: revision of its limits, discussion on its phonetic characteristics, identification of the phonological system of vowels of the subsubdialect. The article is based on records made during the expeditions in 1972–1989 (kept in the Archive of dialects of the Institute of the Lithuanian language) and on the personal phonoteca of the author created in 2005–2011. It is ascertained that Lithuanian villages end beside the villages Ramaškonys and Jūravas (midway between Adutiškis and Kamojys). This territory embodies the last stage of bilingualism: the Lithuanian is spoken only by the eldest generation. The strongest phonetic characteristic of the subsubdialect of Kamojys is the pronunciation of subsubdialectuated thematic long [ie·]<*ā, [uo·]<*ē which links this subsubdialect up to the subsubdialect of Svirkai and not to the subsubdialect of Adutiškis, as it is traditionally presumed. A phonological analysis permits to identify three different areas of Eastern Lithuanian Vilnius‘ subsubdialects: 1) the area of Svirkai and Kamojys which does not have long low phonemes; 2) the area of Adutiškis–Mielagėnai which does not have mid-level phonemes; 3) the area of Tverečius–Švenčionys which has “free squares“ in the subsystems of low long phonemes and mid-level half-long phonemes.
