Summary/Abstract: This article examines the cultural practices and politics of foie gras production and consumption. The first part presents what foie gras is, as well as the history of production of this product. The second part describes a dispute between the supporters and opponents of this delicacy. These sections provide an analysis on how ethics, morality and the concept of common good clash with each other in notorious foie gras bans.
