Summary/Abstract: The paper is devoted to the analysis of intertextuality in publicism. The essays of Anatolii Agranovskii, the well-known Soviet journalist, are the materials of the analysis. The following theoretical and pragmatic aspects of intertextuality are studied: citation sources, functions of the use of intertextuality, expression of the author’s position, and identification of literary quotes and reminiscences by the reader.
