Summary/Abstract: This paper applies the autoregressive models to investigate the impacts of an oil price change on economic activities in selected EU countries. We investigate the differences in the impact of oil shocks on the level of output and inflation in France, Germany, Netherlands, United Kingdom, EU, Poland, Czech Republic and Hungarian. We verified research hypothesis: The impact of oil price shocks on the level of output and inflation in EU economies is asymmetric. To verify the hypothesis we used econometric methods for the analysis of time series.
