Summary/Abstract: This article presents measures of market concentration calculated on the basis of the market shares of undertakings on the relevant markets. Structure, the advantages and disadvantages of the selected measures are described. The use of various concentration measures on the telecommunications markets in antitrust proceedings conducted by the European Commission and the President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection and the proceedings of ex ante sector – specific regulation conducted by the President of the Office of Electronic Communication are presented.
