МАКЕДОНИЈА КОН ЕВРОПСКА СТРАТЕГИЈА ЗА ЕНЕРГЕТСКА ЕФИКАСНОСТ
MACEDONIA TOWARDS EUROPEAN STRATEGY FOR ENERGY EFFICIENCY

Summary/Abstract: Energy Efficiency (EE) does not mean just a simple energy saving at the expense of the quality of life, but it means production, or creation of high quality living and working conditions, or even their improvement with lower energy spending. Pre-accession EU funds, starting from 2007, will open a new page of opportunities for financing and successful implementation of the legislation, bylaws and activities in the field of EE. According to the author of this article, the key to the success lays in the more intensive networking and acting in the field of EE, in order to overcome the mistakes that have been made by the other EU member states that already completed or are in the phase of completing the association stage. The analysis in this paper points to the fact that in the case of application of measures for EE, Macedonia will have chance to competitive economy and products with added value – climate that already present in most EU countries. Only well informed citizens can bring to the country prosperity and faster EU accession.
