The Process of Transformation in Biographical Experiences
Proces transformacji w doświadczeniach biograficznych

Summary/Abstract: The majority of empirical researches, diagnoses, and theoretical analyses regarding Poland’s transformation are constructed from the perspective of macro sociological approach. Biographical research can be treated as an important supplement of this perspective since biographical analysis serves to reconstruct collective processes, to grasp the mutual influence of individual experiences and macro socio-cultural processes of collective change and transition. The article presents main analytical and theoretical advantages of biographical approach in this respect, contains a brief methodological note, as well as characterizes one of the on-going projects based on the biographical experience of transformation.
