Summary/Abstract: This paper considers the main problems of rental contract definition in Italian civil law. The essential characteristics of rental contract distinguishing it from tenancy are described. The attention is also attracted to terms and payments of rental contract. Different types of rental contracts in Italian civil law are discussed.
