Summary/Abstract: Talcott Parsons, as a sociologist continued positivist - evolutionary thought while maintaining the classical period’s tradition of great theory in twentieth century is one of the major name in American sociology. The sociologist that the notion of integration and the search for equilibrium are spreaded to his overall works, comes into prominence as known for his unique contribution to the system theory while moving into sociology literature and with his importance at structural-functionalist school. The perspective shaped by the action theory elaborated by him was evaluated with concentrating on structure and function like his evolutionary ideas. Achieving the equilibrium and ensuring the continuity of the system are the main neccesities in his system theory. Also the values are the most essential elements for the continuation and the existence of the system.
