Summary/Abstract: Geographical discoveries had its golden age until the start of the Silk Road. A geographical discovery has lost its importance with the discovery of new trade routes. So it has lost its importance in trade with the region and the region. Crumbling of the Soviet Union in 1991 (USSR), which closed with the disintegration of energy resources in Central Asia and the Caucasus region have increased the importance of the region. The world's energy needs them to translate here has caused the eyes of the world and the countries of the region. And for the transport of energy in the area of the region in which Turkey is a safe country, a variety of strategic projects (NABUCCO, TRACECA, the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line UPS, The Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan Oil Pipeline) planned and is being implemented.
