Summary/Abstract: The objective of the paper is to identify a participant of museum tourism who uses social media. The paper presents their socio-demographic profile and patterns of tourism behaviors. The paper shows differences in tourist behavior between those visitors to the city of Krakow who share their impressions of the visit in social media and other visitors who do not. Empirical data gathered by means of 2014 research in Krakow was used in order to verify the objectives. The practical part is preceded by theoretical considerations on museum tourism and social media.
