The usefulness of the theory of innovation in the development of clusters

Summary/Abstract: Operating in different regions and countries of the world clusters play an important role in raising innovativeness and competitiveness of local economies. Understanding the mechanisms and processes of their functioning requires the application of innovation theory that explains the reasons for the creation, diffusion and implementation of new technology solutions for enterprises, as well as to market. The aim of this article is to analysis of clusters from the point of view of the theory of innovation.
