Summary/Abstract: The Akathist Hymn is a song dedicated to the Incarnation of the Son of God, well anchored in the doctrine of faith of the first four ecumenical councils. The Incarnation is like a principle without which there can be no spiritual life. The Hymn is also valuable for developing a real Orthodox Mariology chapter. The Mother of God is praised as the main instrument of the Incarnation of the Son of God and at the same time as a model and intercessor for God's indwelling in the soul of every believer. Based on Christology, the Mariology doctrine witnessed by the Akathist Hymn is inextricably linked to the ecclesiological reality. The meaning of the Virgin Mary’s intercession for the salvation of believers should be seen in the meaning of the intercession of the Church for the salvation of the faithful Church. The way this thing happens is a mystery that neither the Hymn nor the Orthodox Faith has tried to explain it, but just to confess it.
