Summary/Abstract: In this article the authors present the archaeological material from Luncaviţa (Tulcea County) excavated by Eugen Comşa in 1951 and 1959 in the tell settlement at “Cetăţuia”. Six levels of habitation with traces of burnt and unburnt dwellings, pottery, polished stone items, bone and antler tools were documented. The habitation belongs entirely to the A2 phase of the Gumelniţa culture
