POST-LITERATURE STUDIES

Summary/Abstract: The article is a reflection of today’s state of literature, directions of its development, inner dynamics, criticism etc. The still visible tradition of structural, “strong” and “scientific” literary studies is in retreat. The dominant trends are literary studies which contain significant admixtures of cultural studies and anthropology. The author writes in this trend and points out the most “active” areas in a critical reflection by using – partly to obtain a rhetorical effect – a characteristic prefix “post”. These are: postpatriarchalism, postlogocentrism, postsymbolism, posthistoricism, postsexuality and postphysicality, postcolonialism and postmemory.
