Summary/Abstract: The paper analyzes changes in the level of uncertainty among households that can be observed in their assessments and forecasts of both their own financial situation and the economic condition of the country. To achieve this aim, data from consumer confidence surveys conducted during the years 1992-2013 was utilized. Over time, as respondents adapted to the new market conditions, they showed less and less uncertainty in both the diagnosis and prognosis of the economic situation in the country. The opposite trend was observed where diagnosing their own financial situation was concerned, as well as in formulating forecasts of household finances.
