Sociolinguistic aspects of newspaper “Dnevnik” after receipt of Bulgaria in the European Union

Summary/Abstract: This article is a part of the Ethnopsycholinguistic and Sociolinguistic Aspects of the Language of the Press in Bulgaria project, financed by Bulgaria Science Fund of the Ministry of Education and Science. Through quantitative analysis the importance journalists devote to the European Union topic will be researched. The public agenda can be measured by the number of texts that cover this topic. This way the weight journalists assign to the problem is established. Thus they influence public opinion. This article will do a quantitative research of a hundred percent of the surveyed units in Dnevniknewspaper for a five-year period (from 2007 to 2011)
