Summary/Abstract: The paper presents a field of science which enjoys growing interest from researchers that is behavioral economics and attempts to present closer its achievements. First part of the article focuses on the genesis of behavioral economics. The second part discusses selected terminology and research methodology used in this science. The third part describes main charges against the behavioral approach. The fourth part presents behaviorism in other trends in the economy.
