Summary/Abstract: The paper analyzes a less well-known work written by Vintilă Horia: the dramatic poem Torța. The main characteristic of this literary work lies, on one hand, in the fact that it is the only attempt of the writer to create a dramatic poem, and on the other hand, in some essential traits that announce his activity during exile. Being written during a period in which its author was caught "between worlds" (between the country of origin and the one of his exile) and illustrating twilight atmosphere, the text has a subtle programmatic character
