Summary/Abstract: The text proposes an approach hearkening the sensitive materiality of sound, its role in the effective political manifestations and, more precisely, in the actualization of the affective communities. This sonic topology of politics, aiming to overpass the limit of the figurative approach in philosophical and political thought, is a micropolitical reflexive practice which opens a whole field of creative experimentation. The presentation of a recent project in that way – Traces of an Absence, exemplifies how research-creation can address difficult knowledge (here understood at the confluence of sonic study and political depression) due to its proximity to lived experience. This project, a musical and poetical improvised performance around the sounds of politics of the recent (student) strikes in Quebec, was affirmatively interrupted and opened in a new way by the strike movement of Spring 2015, in generative a mise-en-abîme.
