Summary/Abstract: This article studies regional differences in the level of fertilization in Poland. It analyzes the factors that have a potential impact on differences in fertilization between voivodeships. As a result of grouping objects by Ward 5 clusters of voivodeships, which differed in terms of the proposed features, and the voivodship inside clusters were obtained characterized by similar values of variables. Voivodeships with the highest level of mineral fertilization were characterized by the largest surface farms, the largest share of crops in the agricultural area, the largest share of farms specializing in field crops and the largest level of calcium fertilization. There is a clear relationship between the level of consumption of mineral fertilizers and the share of crops in the agricultural area, the number of people working in agriculture per unit of surface area, surface farms, consumption of calcium fertilizers and farmers education. The lack of correlation with the intensity of fertilization was found in the rate quality and usefulness of agricultural soils, the share of certified seed sowings of cereals and the share of livestock production in the commodity agricultural production.
