Summary/Abstract: The author of the article at hand deals with the issue of the philosophy of moral and its importance within the philosophical and theological thought of Abu Hamid Al-Ghazali. Al-Ghazali (1058-1111) is one of the most important classics of Muslim intellectual tradition, leaving behind a rich literary work. The author reveals that ethics has a decisive role in Al-Ghazali, whose thought is seen as a kind of synthesis of philosophical and theological, but in the latter period the mystical oriented thinking as well. The interpretation of problems by al-Ghazali have will have a huge impact on the development of later philosophical and theological thought in Islam.
