Summary/Abstract: Jelena Lozanovic, a daughter of a well known Serbian scientist social servant Sima Lozanic, affirmed in humanitarian work and in the battle for womens rights, she has participated in international congresses, arrives in the New York City at the start of year 1915, where she was sent by Serbian Red Cross organization in her thirties to work on collecting charity for war desolated country of Serbia. Since the war continued in Serbia, with only short stalemates, she stayed in the USA unitll the year 1920, when she got married to John Frothingham, the great benefactor to Serbian people. The USA has been sending aid to Serbia and Montenegro, since the times of Balkan wars (1912-1913.) in the form of military help but also financial givings. Mihailo Idvorski Pupin has had a great impact on the realization of USA`s aid sent to Serbia. He was an university professor in the University of Colombia New York and an affirmed and well respected scientist. Because of the nature of their work, they have been meeting relatively often, and have become great friends over the years. It is particularly important, that this theme has not been processed yet, which means that the name of Jelena Lozanic was unjustly marginalized from Serbian history. Her testimony illuminates Pupin as a man of wide culture and contributions to the contemporary generations, not only as a scientist but also as a person, even closer.
